About & methodology
LicenseLens makes Microsoft's licensing data browsable. Microsoft publishes an authoritative list of every subscription and the services inside it, but only as a flat 6,000-row spreadsheet. This turns it into something you can search, open and compare.
Where the data comes from
Every plan, service and inclusion on this site is loaded directly from Microsoft's Product names and service plan identifiers for licensing reference (the .csv download). It refreshes automatically. The String ID and GUID shown on each plan are the same identifiers used by Microsoft Graph and PowerShell.
What we add
The source file has no grouping at all. LicenseLens derives three facets from each product name so you can filter:
- Family — the product line (Microsoft 365, Office 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Intune & Endpoint, Security & Defender, Entra & Identity, and so on).
- Audience — Commercial, Government (GCC / GCC High / DoD), Education, or Frontline.
- Type — a full Suite, an Add-on / capacity pack, or a Trial / preview SKU.
These are best-effort classifications from keyword rules, not official Microsoft categories.
Read API
Two JSON endpoints, no key required:

Accuracy
This is a reference aid. Entitlements, availability and naming change, and some SKUs are region- or program-specific. Always confirm what you're entitled to in the Microsoft 365 admin center or with your licensing partner before you buy or rely on it. Pricing is intentionally not shown — it varies by region, currency, agreement and term.
